MIRANDA LAMBERT - Wranglers - Republic Records

Three-time Grammy winner Miranda Lambert is back with a brand-new song, one that is a self-proclaimed classic tale of a woman taking her power back.  The most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history has released “Wranglers”, available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via Republic Nashville.

The vibe, lyrics, and approach to this song collectively contribute to a relatable track about power, control, and self-respect.  It’s a prideful tune and one that embodies confidence, bravado, and the willingness to stand up for who you are and what you believe, and realize that you deserve better than what you have and are willing to do something about it.

“’Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” Lambert said.  “I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us.”

Written by Audra Mae, Evan McKeever, and Ryan Carpenter, “Wranglers” is the battle-cry for the unappreciated woman in a relationship that needs to end.  With empowering lyrics and an aggressively-induced, guitar-driven melody to match, this is a song that will take listeners back to Lambert’s earlier releases, most notably the likes of Gunpowder & Lead”.

The cleverly-crafted lyrics are delivered through Miranda’s trademark twangy confident vocal demeanor, which is riddled with ebbs and flows that take the song’s emotional impact to a whole new level.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

When the knock down drag out’s over

And Lord knows she took one too many

Well, her blue jean eyes are too tired to cry

And he won’t know till she’s gone already”

As her career continues and new chapters are opened, she continues to set new limits, boundaries, and expectations for herself within her own musical repertoire.  In a generation and genre in which we consistently see “copycat” released and imitation singles, Miranda Lambert is the paving the way for new musical exploration and is the epitome of artistic evolution.

Lambert recently wrapped her 48-date Las Vegas residency and has dates scheduled nationwide from now through the fall.  Her most recent full-length album, ‘Palomino’, was released in 2022 and featured the singles “Strange,” “Actin’ Up”, and “Geraldine”.
