TRACY LAWRENCE - Pretty Dang Good - LMG

Country music icon, Tracy Lawrence, is unarguably one of the most decorated artists in the past 30 years of country music.  With over forty singles on the charts over the years, the Texas native has engrained himself as one of the genre’s household names, with his trademark twangy delivery and traditionally-laden musical approach.

As the country crooner prepares for the release of his upcoming EP next month, he has offered a deviation from his typical approach and one that embraces modern elements of a boot-stomping party anthem.  “Pretty Dang Good” is available both digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

Written by Wyatt McCubbin, Bobby Pinson, and Carson Chamberlain, this is a strikingly unique release from an artist we have come to associate with traditional approaches to love and heartbreak.  Tracy, himself, acknowledged the deviation on the tune, opening the door to a new chapter of his career.

“I’ve always been more of a serious artist, heartbreak songs, crying in your beer kind of stuff.  So this will be something a little bit different”, Lawrence said.  “I love singing it live, it’s a really fun song to sing”.

The vibe of this song immediately demands the listener’s attention, inducing the head-bobbing, toe-tapping and swaying of the modernized beat with traces of fiddle alongside as Lawrence trills the country-life-influenced vocals through his distinguishable twangy delivery.

“It’s a dang good day to be upright

With a dang good girl by my side

A gang good cold beer I’ma sittin’ here drinkin’

A dang good shade tree song I’ma singin’

It’s a dang good life I’ma livin’

Even when it’ ain’t goin’ like it should

It ain’t always easy

But it’s always pretty dang good”

Serving as his third effort off his upcoming EP, “Pretty Dang Good” follows the previously released “Gulf Of Mexico”.  The six-song ‘Out Here In it” is scheduled for a June 7th release, is quickly becoming one of the more anticipated releases of the spring / summer.

Lawrence has been sharing the new music, along with his greatest hits, while on the road as part of Riley Green’s Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour on 33 dates across the country.

From the countless hits he’s released over the years, including “Sticks and Stones”, “If the Good Die Young”, “Time Marches One”, “My Second Home”, and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are”, Tracy has always impressed but has left fans seemingly knowing what to expect.  That is seemingly set to change with “Pretty Dang Good” and the forthcoming ‘Out Here In It,’, which is set to open new doors and introduce new fans to this country icon in 2024.
