KAMERON MARLOWE - On My Way Out - Columbia Nashville

One of modern country music’s brightest young artists, Kameron Marlowe is set to release his highly-anticipated sophomore album, ‘Keepin’ The Lights On’, May 31.  Just weeks away from officially embarking on the next chapter of his career, the highly-touted singer-songwriter is offering us all one final preview of his forthcoming project.  “On My Way Out” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Columbia Records Nashville.

Written by Michael Hardy, Ben Johnson, Hunter Phelps, Taylor Phillips, and Bobby Pinson, the heartfelt ballad showcases Marlowe’s renowned powerhouse vocals while caringly probing the prospect of life’s regrets and retributions.

“When I first heard this song, it resonated with me on a deeper level,” said Marlowe.  “As I’ve gotten older, I started to realize how special our time is on this earth and to never take these moments for granted.  This song helps remind me to slow down and remember how much I have to be thankful for and all the things I still want to do before my time is up.”

A truly gifted singer, Marlowe once again displays his innate ability to create the mood and vibe of a song, not just through the lyrics, but through the vocal pronunciation and evocative approach on each note and melodic tone.

“I hope the road to heaven is backed up to my hometown

And I get to hug the ones I love on my last lap around

I wanna redo all the regrets and relive all the times

I took for granted in this good Lord-handed life of mine

Yeah, only God knows when

Yeah, but there ain’t no doubt

That’s how I want make my way in

On my way out”

As has been the case with all of his releases to this point in his incredibly-promising career, “On My Way Out” leans heavily on higher meanings, thought provoking lyrics, and the ebbs and flows that everyday life can have on one’s emotional states.  Offering a glimpse into the heart and mind of the songwriters, this is a ballad that will long resonate with the listener while also offering a beautifully-pleasant ear- pleasing experience.

Marlowe released his debut record, ‘We Were Cowboys’, in 2022, and has since seen his career transform him from a new aspiring artist to one of the brightest young stars in all of country music.  With the impending release of ‘Keepin’ The Lights On’, as well as an extensive touring schedule through the spring and summer, 2024 promises to serve as another step onward towards his undeniable path to country music stardom.
