DILLON CARMICHAEL
"Drinkin' Problems"
Riser House Records
Dillon Carmichael has released a brand new single, and it’s a rowdy, party-anthem perfect for summer. “Drinkin’ Problems” is out now and available everywhere via Riser House Records.
Written by Luke Combs along with Thomas Archer, Ray Fulcher, and Erik Dylan, this is a song centered around the concept of blowing off steam and escaping from some of life’s everyday stressors and struggles. It’s an undeniably relatable track full of traditional country metaphors and stereotypes, cultivating in a light-hearted music solution to common problems.
It’s a bit unruly and a tad outspoken, but it’s unapologetically honest and forthcoming in its down-home-country-boy approach to navigating through life’s trials and tribulations. Sung through Dillon’s trademark deep, twangy vocals, the lyrics tell a story of life in the country, trudging through the work week, summoning a much-needed night out when the work day is done.
“We’ll be cold can holdin’
Keep that jukebox rollin’
Ordering rounds till we think we forgot ‘em
Unless you got a better way to solve ‘em
We’ll keep on drowning our drinkin’ problems”
There are certainly some heavy hitters on this song. In addition to the impressive resumes of the songwriters, responsible for hits from the likes of Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean, Trisha Yearwood, and Terri Clark, the track was produced by Jon Pardi and Ryan Gore (Zac Brown Band, Kacey Musgraves).
Having premiered on SiriusXM’s The Highway, “Drinkin’ Problems” is the first release since the Kentucky native unveiled the deluxe edition of ‘Son Of A’, his acclaimed sophomore album. The song has been an instant favorite of Dillon’s devout followers as well as casual country fans, and serves as the first of more new tunes for us all to enjoy in the near future.
Carmichael has made a name for himself in the industry through his ability to combine rowdy rockers like “Hot Beer” and “Big Truck” with heartfelt tunes including “Dancing Away With My Heart” and “I Do For You”. His proven musical virtuosity and diversity coupled with his undeniable entertainment ability keep this talented singer, songwriter, and performer on the map as one of the more appreciated and renowned artists amongst fans of classic and contemporary country alike.
