TYLER HUBBARD - Back Then Right Now - EMI Nashville

Tyler Hubbard signed a recording contract with EMI Nashville in May 2022, and shortly after, released his debut solo single, “5 Ft 9”.  “Dancin’ In The Country” was released late in the year, followed by his debut record in November.  Now, already with two No. 1 singles to his name as a solo recording artist, the Monroe, GA native is releasing his latest single to country radio.  “Back Then Right Now” is available everywhere digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

As we have seen across Hubbard’s songwriting and recording career, he has an uncanny ability to craft uptempo, catchy, listener-friendly melodies alongside captivatingly memorable sing-along lyrics.  He once-again hits it out of the park with “Back Then Right Now,” which is a nostalgic ode to the good old days and how he longs for those moments he used live every day.  It tugs at the listener’s heart strings as he croons his way through storytelling lyrics that paint the picture of his life growing up and the memories he made that will last a lifetime.

“I could use a little more wide-open

Back when all I wanted was the hand I was holdin’

Livin’ in the moment with the good-time crowd

Makin’ life count

Damn, I could use a little more

Back then, right now”

Following “5 ft 9” and “Dancin’ In The Country,” “Back Then Right Now” is the first new music released since Tyler’s self-titled debut album in January. He has been playing special events, headlining gigs, and appearances across the country throughout the year in support of the new music.  With his first two singles hitting the No. 1 spot on the country charts, expectations for his latest tune are understandably high, and with the ingredients of his previous hit releases prevalent here, there’s no reason to think its success will fall short of those hypothesized achievements.

Partially due to his wildly popular success with Florida Georgia Line, Hubbard’s tenure as an accomplished songwriter has somewhat flown under the radar for mainstream country music fans.  He has written cuts for the likes of Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, and Thomas Rhett, while having penned seven No. 1 hits as part of the award-winning duo.

With his latest single officially out and available to the masses, along with a rekindled motivation and fresh perspective, Tyler is ready to take his solo career to the next level.
