CAYLEE HAMMACK - Bed of Roses - Capitol Records Nashville
In a matter of a few short years, Caylee Hammack has demanded the music industry’s attention with her impeccably ingenious songwriting and undeniably exquisite vocal delivery. The Ellaville, GA native is set to take her career to the next level here in the early part of 2025, having announced the release date for her highly-anticipated upcoming sophomore album, along with the record’s title track. “Bed Of Roses” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Capitol Records Nashville.
Written by Hammack along with Jeff Hyde and Benjy Davis, the tune tells the tale of a budding romance that never fully bloomed, luring her to reflectively view the origin and demise of a relationship that never left the ground.
Vulnerably exhilarating songwriting takes the forefront on the forthcoming record’s title track, headlined by relatable yet poetically-calculated lyrics delivered through Caylee’s electrifying vocals, capturing the listener’s attention from start to finish.
“Hey, I’m growin’ a bed of roses
Bitter grapes make the sweetest wine
The holes I’m diggin’ are just seeds I’m sowin’
For my bed of roses, where I’m sleepin’ just fine”
Nearly five years after her debut record, ‘If It Wasn’t For You’, the release of ‘Bed Of Roses is set for March 7th, featuring 13 tracks, 12 of which Hammack served as writer or co-writer. The record’s title track sets the pace and tone for the record, which follows the trend of Caylee’s masterful technique for cultivating lyrical vulnerability and her unique musical blend of country, soul, and gypsy rock.
“Your bed of roses is the bed you make – you get to decide how you spend your time and how you plant your garden,” Hammack said. “You’ve got to work through things and it’s not going to be fun. As a little girl who always just wanted a man to bring her flowers – I decided I’d be better off if I just learned how to grown my own.”
Released in August 2020, ‘If It Wasn’t For You” received high and well-deserved praise from fans, critics, and media alike. The record featured standout singles “Family Tree” and “Just Friends”, while also leading her to ACM nominations for New Female Artist Of The Year in both 2020 and 2021. Her appearance on Miranda Lambert’s “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” won Music Event Of The Year at the 2020 ACM’s.
Moving to Nashville at just 19 years old, Caylee has become a sought-after artist with whom to collaborate. “Small Town Hypocrite” featuring Chris Stapleton was celebrated as one of the standout tracks of 2020 along with the aforementioned joint-release with Lambert. Hammack continues to add to an already-stellar musical collection of unique and diverse songs, blurring the lines of country, Celtic, and bluegrass as she garners droves of new fans with each release.
