LEAH TURNER
"Wax On The Table"
L3 Entertainment
L3 Entertainment artist Leah Turner has released a new track, the sultry and sensual “Wax On The Table”. This is an unapologetically sexy track, swooned with a Latina influence that has been in her roots from the time she began pursuing her music career.
Produced by Andrew King, “Wax On the Table” was written by the 34 year old turner, who was inspired to write the track in response to her view of the double standard that exists in country music. In this song, she uses the categoric image of women in country music and responds with an unremorseful take on love expression.
“Put down your tequila, we don’t need it
I can be the burning on your lips tonight
Let’s move it to the bedroom, we ain’t sleeping
Too busy making shadows in the moonlight”
Having lived in Nashville for nearly five years, Turner was raised in a Spanish-speaking household in California, and didn’t learn any English until she was seven years old. Having been originally signed to Sony and Columbia Nashville, Turner is a familiar name and face to many fans of the industry, and her inspiration of bringing Latin influence into country music speaks to the diversity potential of the genre.
“Wax On The Table” is included on her upcoming EP, titled Lost in Translation. The release will be released on October 15.
