Monument Records artist Teddy Robb is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming EP ‘Get Away With It’ on February 25th, and is giving fans a sneak peak into what they can expect with his single “1500”.

Growing up in the farmlands of rural Ohio, Robb was largely influenced by the likes of Johnny Cash, Glenn Campbell, George Strait, and Brooks and Dunn, ultimately inspiring him to pack his bags and move to Nashville.  What he has created, developed, and honed in his time in Music City is a unique sound, incredibly honest and infectiously resonating vocals and relatable, honest, and heartfelt lyrics that incapsulate the listener in a way very few new artists have been able to do.

During the pandemic, like so many other artists, Robb resorted to extended hours of songwriting, almost stumbling into a nostalgic look at his upbringing, in particular his Chevy 1500 farm truck.

“I said, look I know there’s a lot of truck songs, but I want to do my take on it”, he said.  “The first line we spit out was, ‘I was 16 in a 1500,’ and immediately were like that’s the song wright there”.

The tune was written by Robb along with Pete Good, Brandon Ratcliffe, and Dave Turnbull, while also being produced by Good, and offers a heart-felt ode to days gone by. Covering a topic we can certainly all relate to, “1500” is not only a song that will resonate in the hearts and minds of the listeners, but is also a slowed down sing-along number that will continue to build the anticipation and optimism surrounding the development of this talented singer-songwriter.
