CJ Solar has made his mark on the country music industry as a songwriter, recently earning major accomplishments with Jameson Rodgers “Some Girls” and Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down.” Underneath those songwriting credits, though, he’s also been carving out his artist niche one step at a time.

With over five million streams and three songs charting inside the Top 15 – “American Girls,” Airplane,” and “Coming My Way” - CJ Solar’s brand of Southern rock infused country has been very well received at radio and has made a tremendous impact with fans during his coast-to-coast tours.

He’s now just dropped the title cut from his upcoming album, The Future’s Neon – his first release in over a year.

Sticking within the wheelhouse of his southern rock tilt, those very familiar guitar shreds that he’s become known for grab you the moment you hit play and quickly assault you with their fiery licks as they throw you into this boot-stomping, getting over your leaving anthem.

Co-written by Solar with Blake Griffith and Jim McCormick, this lyric quickly sets the entire story in motion as he sings through her breaking up with him in the opening verse. However, that’s not really what this song is about at all as we’ll discover when he leads us into the chorus on the back of the hopeful line, “But tonight’s a brand-new day.”

The song then takes on an entirely new dynamic as Solar sings of going to the bar, letting his yesterday’s fade away, and happily returning himself to his party side, the same one that she never liked that he’s kept pent up for too long.

Though this is a tale often told in country music, the ferociousness of the guitars and the believability factor in Solar’s vocal delivery helps to really entice the listener into wanting to hit repeat on this all-out rocker. More importantly, though, the punch behind this song does the trick to getting you hyped up for things still to come with the release of his album.
