As she self expresses, this rising and incredibly talented singer-songwriter from Karlstad, MN has been using her talent and opportunity to write and perform songs as the voice for those who do not have a voice to express the thoughts and emotions we all feel on a daily basis.

From the releases “Give Me A Minute” and “Wherever I Go” to “Closer” and “Let Me Go”, Leigh has been captivating listeners with her musical versatility as a songwriter and vocalist.  These are never more prevalent than on her latest single, “Leave”.

The song is about the hesitancy of moving on with one’s life…knowing what is the right thing to do but internally processing the feelings of vulnerability that come with closing one chapter and beginning another.

“Leave” is a direct result of the influences that Dariann has aspired to be as she continues to develop her own sound with every song written and performed in her catalogue.  A fan of the defenseless, introspective tracks of the likes of Miranda Lambert and Carly Pearce, Leigh calls on her own feelings of vulnerability on “Leave”. 

Written by Dariann along with Charly Reynolds and Kamryn Palmer, this song will unquestionably resonate with fans of all ages and perspectives.  Whether we like to admit, we have all felt defenseless and helpless at some point in our lives during or after a breakup or the end of a relationship.  “Leave” touches on all of those feelings, and helps us to realize that before the feelings of self-confidence and empowerment can shine through, the emotions of sadness and heartbreak need to present themselves to the surface.

With every release, Dariann Leigh continues to make a name for herself as one of the more promising country singer-songwriters on the circuit.  With the look and feel, along with the drive as well as the lyrical and musical ingenuity, we are sure to hear much more from her in the months and years to come.
