With a title like “Sunday Morning Kinda Saturday Night”, Ashley Cooke’s single immediately demands the listener’s attention before the first note even begins.  It’s a unique play on words that has us guessing the context before hearing her incredible vocals that earned her honors at Belmont University.

At its roots, the song is not all that unique - a broken hearted woman wakes up after a long night and has an epiphany that she needs to make changes in her life.  But to merely leave it there does not do this song justice.  This is a story about coming to grips with life and how to survive its tribulations:

“I got talk this out with the man upstairs

‘Bout where I’m goin in this crash course life”

“Sunday Morning” is less of a dance number and more of a sway, but the hook is irresistibly catchy and her smooth, mature vocals blend perfectly for the inspirational, uplifting delivery of this sure-to-be fan favorite.

A gifted songwriter and fast rising performer, Ashley Cooke has introduced herself to the country music world and has put us all on notice that she is certainly part of the future of the genre.
