Macon, GA native Ethan Payne has released his new single, “Made It Out Of Georgia”, available on all streaming platforms now.

The southern-based singer-songwriter has been making a name for himself ever since picking up his first guitar at 8 years old and writing his first tune as a young teenager.  Since then, he has garnered accolades and awards in his home state, appeared on American Idol, and made the move to Nashville, immersing himself in the Music City culture and working on his upcoming album.

“Made It Out Of Georgia” is a song about a lost love, or as Payne describes, “the one that got away”.  It’s a breakup song, no doubt, but isn’t the standard somber approach to the subject.

Having inspiration drawn from the likes of Chris Young, Georgia Strait, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Chris Stapleton, Payne undoubtedly incorporates musical elements of each into his latest release.  There is a solid rock influence throughout, with the riffs leading the way through the verses and chorus.  But what certainly shouldn’t be lost on this track is his impressively powerful, and seemingly effortless, vocal ability.  His ability to deliver the song’s emotion through his vocal range alone is something to behold.

Written by Payne along with Trey Teem and Michael Davey, “Made It Out Of Georgia” is released via Craig Campbell’s Grindstone Records.  Having achieved fan, peer, and critic acclaim in his own career, Campbell is now embracing his new role as a producer and label head, paving the way for the next generation of country musicians in whom he believes and sees undeniable potential.  Ethan certainly makes the cut, with Campbell predicting this new song will be the beginning of a promising music career.

“I knew this was a smash the first time Ethan played it for me!  I am so fired up about this song and Ethan and what is ahead of him.  This is just the tip of the iceberg!”

When he isn’t on the road playing shows and promoting his music, Ethan is working hard on his other passion as an Official Ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Making a name for himself while also making a difference behind the mic and without the mic, this fresh young face on the Music City spectrum is certainly one to keep an eye on now and in the future.
