Universal Music Canada recording artist Josh Ross has released the heartfelt yet nostalgic track, “On A Different Night”, available on all streaming platforms now.

Ross is escalating up the country music landscape of rising artists in both Canada as well as in the United States, making a name for himself as a talented songwriter and gifted vocalist.

“On A Different Night” is the tale of looking at moments in time spent with an ex and having those feelings of heartache, remorse, and temptation when thinking of those times after the relationship’s conclusion.

We have all had relationships begin and end, and at times, we associate certain places, events, and moments with the other person in the relationship.  It can be a difficult obstacle to overcome, and this track encompasses the varying feelings and emotions felt in the turmoil of a love’s end.

Ross puts his vocal supremacy on full display on this track, taking the listener on a lyrical story using his voice as an invitation into his heart as he seemingly effortlessly depicts the emotions he feels, delivering the emotive and poignant lyrics with the honesty and passion of a well-crafted tune.

This is a somber, heartache-influenced country rocker, with the instrumentals and the potential in Ross’s vocals lending itself to country music’s often more upbeat “old brother” genre.  It offers the perfect combination of raw feelings, soaring vocals, and storytelling ability that will appeal to fans from all across the genre’s spectrum.

“On A Different Night” follows Josh’s chart-topping ballad, “First Taste Of Gone”.  The tune put him on the North American map for the now Nashville-based singer, landing him on some of Spotify’s top country playlists, including New Boots, Next From Nashville, and Breakout Country.

The independently-released track’s success eventually led him to singing with Universal Music Canada as well as The Core Entertainment.  He became the second artist to sign with UMC’s joint venture with The Core, and now the sky appears to be the limit for this incredibly talented singer-songwriter.
