Birmingham, AL native Trey Lewis continues to make a name for himself in country music as an independent artist, releasing aggressive rockers, a heartfelt ballad, and now a sing-along track to which we can all relate.

“My Ex Came Over” tells the story of hooking up with an ex long after calling things off and ending the relationship.  Whether we have actually had this happen before or only thought about doing it, this song hits home for many listeners, depicting how a moment of weakness and /or comfortability can lead to a night of regret and emotional backtracking.

Writing this song merely hours after the event that predicated its origin, Lewis sat down with Jake Rose and Joel Hutsell and penned what may be his most relatable tune to date.

Trey is a country music purist with a sense of humor, and with the freedom to write, release, and sing his music on his own terms, he is 100% his own artist.

He first exploded onto the underground country music independent circuit with the release of the tune “Dicked Down In Dallas”.  Over the course of the next couple years, he has churned out fan favorites like “Single Again,” “Hate This Town,” and “Little Tired”, as well as the heartfelt ode to his mother, “Whatever She Sees In Me”.

Throughout the course of his abbreviated yet incredibly promising career thus far, Trey has displayed his music ability, his vocal range, lyrical ingenuity, and his sense of humor. His existing fans have developed into a devout following, while new listeners are quickly becoming fans.

He is currently on the road on Kid Rock’s Bad Reputation Tour through mid-September, while he also had headlining gigs across the country through the end of November.
