Blaine Holcomb has spent the past year focused on stamping his signature sound on the country music listeners as he’s twisted slight modern flashes into his strong 90’s country influence to give him a fresh take on an old idea, elevating his status through very well-received singles such as “Then There’s You” and “When It Comes To Love.”

He now returns with his brand-new release, “Love A Little More.”

Co-written by Holcomb, Jason Blaine, and Jay Brunswick, the guitar drop pushes you into the intro and immediately gets you tapping along as the song relies on the signature feel that we’ve come to expect from Holcomb, while also adding in some additional catchy elements that intriguingly keep you bopping along.

Throughout the verses, he wraps his rich vocal around lyrics that clearly spells it out for the girl that he’s in love with, that she ain’t seen nothing from him yet as he first sings of how her countertop is covered with flowers, she’s getting all his extra time, Etc. before pushing their relationship forward in the second verse by talking about them living together in a house out in the country, sharing last names, and her showing off her princess cut diamond ring to her friends….thinking that it’s as good as it gets!

But he completely flips the notion of her thinking their love is already as good as it gets when he declares in the chorus:

“If you think I can’t dig a little deeper

Wait until you see what I got in store

If you think I can’t sugar up the sweeter

Sweep your feet right off the floor

When you think you’ve been loved

Like you never been loved before

I’m gonna love a little more”

This playful song is all about going that extra mile for the one you love in your efforts to show them how much you appreciate them and are wanting to keep that smile on their face, proving in its own way that chivalry isn’t dead.

The refreshingly throwback sound of Holcomb’s style never swerves into an out of touch realm in comparison to today’s era, but it rather slides right in alongside of it to fit perfectly in an empty space that needs to be filled with this exciting brand of a sound reminiscent to what is arguably the best era of country music!
