Fast-rising and uber-talented singer-songwriter Conner Smith has released his latest tune, “Take It Slow” via The Valory Music Co., available on all streaming platforms now.

At just 21 years of age, Smith continues to prove his talent well beyond his years, offering his own unique twist on common themes with the use of his songwriting ability to ignite feelings and emotions within the listener.

An ultimate compliment to a well-written song is that it can make one feel varying emotions that aren’t commonly associated with one another.  “Take It Slow” is a romantic song, but there is a subtle innocence that is not only believable and relatable, but accurate.  It’s a creative take on a simple theme, but it’s a wisely nostalgic take, almost to the point that you forget the person singing it has only been an adult for a few years.

“And you said, ‘Take it slow, I know a backroad, we can find a spot to be alone

We can sway back and forth to what’s on the radio

‘Cause you said that you were all mine, innocent look in your eye

Nothing but time, kiss me all night and let’s just take it slow”

Conner is gifted as a songwriter, performer, and singer, and all are immediately evident upon the first musical introduction.  He tells the detailed tale of young love, taking the listener for a trip down memory lane as if we are experiencing it in our own lives for the first time.  That’s not an easy thing to do, and he does it with class, respect, and with a beautifully written song, lyrically and musically.

“Take It Slow” has already eclipsed nearly 40 million global streams to date and was released to country radio on September 12^th.  The tune has been a fan-favorite off his debut album, ‘Didn’t Go Too Far”, and will soon be a song to remember for the rest of the country music genre.  Co-written by Smith along with Ryan Hurd and Mark Trussell, this song promises to further escalate Conner up the ladder of one of the more promising young artists on the country music spectrum.
