One of the most appealing attributes of a musician is the ability to keep the listener guessing from song to song, album to album.  The latest release from Dustin Lynch, “Wood On The Fire”, is the latest installment in his ever-growing diverse catalogue of successful singles.

Released via Broken Bow Records, the ballad is available now on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

Written by Lynch along with Hunter Phelps, Jordan Minton, and Jordan Reynolds, “Wood On The Fire” is centered around a very familiar topic, but is so relatable that it will hit home with nearly everyone who hears it.

The song is about a relationship that has seemingly run its course and is down to its final moments, and despite the inevitable ending in the future, the desire and spontaneous romantic feelings that fueled the relationship at its onset still have the same effect on both parties.

It tells the tale of irresistible attraction while detailing the internal struggle that we have all gone through when our wants and desires in weak moments complicate what is best for us in the long run.

One touch, one kiss, next thing you know

Me over you goes up in smoke

Lynch is currently on fire, both on the radio, streaming platforms and on tour.  His fifth studio album, Blue In The Sky, has been highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike, featuring the chart-climber “Party Mode”.  His headlining “Party Mode Tour” achieved incredible success through the spring and will run through October.  Following his upcoming seventh appearance at Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Playa 2023” in January, he will hit the road as support on Kane Brown’s “Drunk On Dreaming Tour” in the spring.
