Love songs are nothing new to country music.  In fact, they are quite common.  But something that is rare in the music spectrum is, as a listener, feeling as though you have an inside look at the love that exists between those actually singing the song.

“Thank God”, the latest release from Kane Brown, is as honest and true reflection of love and affection as we’ve heard in quite some time…mainly because it features his wife, Katelyn Brown.

Written by Christian Stalnecker, Jared Mullins, Jaxson Free, Josh Hoge, and Kyle Fishman, the song earned an incredible 68 first-week adds at country radio stations upon its release.

This is the song Brown’s fans, and the rest of the music world, have been waiting for over the past few years.  Kane has hinted and teased at a collaboration between him and his wife, ultimately announcing this past April that she would be a part of an upcoming project.  And now here we are, a beautifully written song that is performed with the passion one would expect from a husband-and-wife duet.

And thank God

You loved me when you didn’t have to

But you did and you do, and he knew

Thank God for giving me you

The lyrics are poetically beautiful and the accompanying melodies and harmonies head straight to the heart of the listener.  It’s a proclamation of appreciation and gratefulness when you truly realize how lucky you are to have found the one with whom you are meant to be.  It is no wonder the couple hand-picked this tune to be their first collaboration together.  Now we can watch it inevitably soar up the charts.

‘Different Man’ was released on September 9, preceded by the singles “One Mississippi” and “Like I Love Country Music”, both of which hit #1 on the charts, as well as “Grand” and now, “Thank God”.  There seems to be no ceiling for Brown’s popularity, and there appears to be no end in sight as he will hit the road on his “Drunk Or Dreaming Tour” in the spring.
