Country singer-songwriter and The Voice alum Taryn Papa has released her latest single, “Persuaded”, which is available now on all streaming platforms.

The upbeat, quick lyrical number was written nearly 10 years ago, shortly after Taryn’s move to Nashville.  During her first official writing session, co-writers Randall Clay and A.J. Engstrom stumbled upon a theme, asking her if she had ever done anything that she hadn’t set out to do.  The result is an undeniably relatable track that showcases Papa’s incredible vocal prowess, range, and confidence.

The song highlights the risk of new love, and while love songs are nothing new to country music, this is an escape from the typical emotional stage, offering a unique twist on a subject everyone longs to feel.

Her vocal delivery may take center stage, and understandably so, but this is also a very well written song.  The ability to tackle the emotional danger and inhibitions while also facing the internal battle of embracing the moment while putting yourself out there offers vulnerability and confidence at the same time.  And of course, prevalent in this track are two of the keystones of a solid country music track – relatability and storytelling.

“Persuaded” is the latest installment to a catalogue of music to accompany the undeniable talent of this songstress.  The Connecticut native has scored positive reviews and acclaim from fans and media alike with past releases including “Changed” and “Mercy”, while also making impacts on Spotify’s Next From Nashville and Young Nashville playlists. 

Since arriving in Music City, Taryn has been hitting the honky-tonks and lower Broadway scene relentlessly, quickly making a name for herself as a bright new talent.  Be on the lookout for full-length project in the near future.  For now, enjoy her jaw-dropping vocals on “Persuaded”.
