With the highly successful commercial appeal of the country music genre over the years, it is undeniable and unavoidable that there is a large amount of parody that exists between artists, songwriters, and themes.  Thus, it has become even more difficult for aspiring young singer-songwriters to make a name for themselves in this ever-growing genre.

Enter Grace Tyler, an incredibly gifted singer, songwriter, and performer who has offered a breath of fresh air and perspective on the commonly complicated theme of falling in and out of love.

With influences ranging from Patsy Cline to George Strait to Sunny Sweeney, she once-developed her musical taste and direction off her Texas roots.  As the common phrase states, “there’s country music, and then there’s Texas country music”.

And now, with her upbringing and influence still strong from her Lonestar State roots, the success of stars including Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert have helped pave the way for Grace and her musical freedom to express herself lyrically and musically.

“Took The Fall” is a result of multiple songwriting sessions, thus incorporating a wide range of thoughts and feelings as well as different approaches of expressing those emotions.  It’s a brilliantly creative method to songwriting, and one that pays massive dividends with one of the more ingenious takes on the end of a relationship.

This song is not just about the breakup – it’s about the experience of losing someone, as well as the experiences you had with them, and knowing that they will have those same experiences with someone else other than you in the future.  It’s heartbreakingly sad and undeniably accurate, and it’s a gifted songwriter to convey that message with that vibe to exonerate those emotions…and that is exactly what Grace Tyler is – A truly gifted songwriter who has only initially introduced us to her remarkable talent.

With previous singles “Bad Boy”, “Cowboys & Tequila”, and “Buckle of the Bible Belt”, Grace Tyler continues to introduce herself to new fans in the genre.  With the look, feel and sound of a star, this singer-songwriter is well on her way to being a promising young star in country music.
