One of the most exciting aspects of country music is the promising young talent that we continued to be introduced to time and time again.  Another prime example of this influx of talent is Jordan James, who has released his new single, “Bigger Small Town”.  Available now on all streaming platforms, the song tells the tale of experiencing the end of a relationship while living in a small town.

While thousands of aspiring singer/songwriters end up in Nashville to achieve their music dreams, many (most, in fact) do originate from small towns.  This song hits home for so many because it applies to memories we have from our personal lives, not just from stories that are told to us second-hand.

Co-written by James along with Jordan Minton and Jordan Kyle Reynolds, it’s an expression of frustration with seeing your ex in your small town after a breakup.  It is the feeling of a world-too-small for the two of you to be…everywhere you go, there they are.  It’s certainly something anyone who has gone through a breakup can relate to, and the song details the thoughts and feelings felt as a response to the everyday realities of a relationship’s end.

Produced by Brad Hill, known for his work with Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne (among others), “Bigger Small Town” follows “Truckin’ Around”, his successful and fan favorite release from over the summer.

James unapologetically characterizes his style as “Country Music for the 21st Century”, showcasing his self-admiration and self-proclamation of his modern musical take on the traditional genre.  From his hometown to Los Angeles to Music City, Jordan has garnered experience working with a wide array of songwriters and producers, while also sharing the stage with everyone from Kenny Rogers to Joe Nichols to David Foster.  Always keeping us guessing, Jordan James still has a few dates this month to see him live, including gigs in Nashville as well as Tifton, GA and Tallahassee, FL.
