Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has released the second single off of her most recent studio album, incorporating all of the feels of a good time while showcasing her ever-impressive powerhouse vocals.  “Hate My Heart” is available everywhere now and will be impacting country radio on October 31st.

Co-written by Underwood along with Hillary Lindsey, David Garcia, and HARDY, “Hate My Heart” is a toe-tapping turned boot-stomping anthem about breaking up and attempting to move on despite her heart’s desire.  It’s a song of brief grief but more frustration as she tries to navigate through her contradicting feelings and emotions between holding on and letting go of a relationship.

As usual, the song is a not-so-subtle reminder of the incredible vocal powerhouse that Carrie has been and continues to be, perfectly and seemingly effortlessly displaying her range and bravado in a manner that is unmatched in today’s country music.

I want my feel good back

Instead of feeling bad that I can’t get past

The fact that I can’t love nobody else

I would if I could, but I don’t know how

I hate my heart right now

Since her debut, ‘Some Hearts’, in 2005, each of Carrie’s ten albums have debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.  ‘Denim & Rhinestones’ debuted as the top-selling country album in the US, with “Hate My Heart” following “Ghost Stories” as the record’s first pair of singles.

Underwood kicked off The Denim & Rhinestones Tour on October 15, which will stretch through the spring of 2023, featuring Jimmie Allen on all dates.  Following the conclusion of the arena tour, she will resume her ongoing REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency with as-of-yet-to-be-announced dates later next year.
