Though Temecula Road has been a name in the country music scene since the mid-2010’s, it’s only been recently that they’ve become a duo and begun to find their new era sound as they’ve shown us throughout 2022 on the softer paced “Heartbreak in Boots” and the tempo driven bop, “By You,” both which placed a shining spotlight on their amazing, signature harmonies while respectively giving Emma Salute and Dawson Anderson their turn at leads to offer the flavor that each uniquely bring to the mix.

The duo now returns with an ultra-catchy ode to falling for the bad boy on their brand-new single “Wrong Ones Do.”

Co-written by Salute, Anderson, Kelly Archer, and Brandon Hood, the up-tempo groove slaps through the opening notes as the guitars bounce into a rock tilted country style riff that immediately grips your interest and holds you into the song as Emma slides in her vocals and gets you singing along as she praises the “bad boy,” perfectly describing him so vividly that you visualize what he looks like and can recognize him when you see him at your own hometown bar; tattoos, blue jeans, old boots, and a cigarette hanging off his lips.

However, as much as she tries to fight it off and even convinces herself that mama (who married three bad boys herself) would be shaking her head, her red flag barriers quickly come down, and even though she knows she’ll regret it, she goes for him anyways and lets him buy her another drink.

The chorus then shifts into a confessional of sorts that sees her trying to find something, anything to blame for what she clearly knows is a bad choice – loneliness, whiskey, long line of wild in her roots – ultimately shrugging her shoulders and blaming herself because as hook states, “nothin’ feels right like the wrong ones do.”

Widely recognized for their energetic live shows, Temecula Road has created a 3-minute highlight to jam right in the center of the sets during their upcoming performances on Breland’s tour, injecting a clap along that pulls out of the bridge and into the final chorus which acts as a tremendous audience participation moment.

Take that live show moment, smash it into an irresistible radio friendly vibe, and combine it with an all too relatable narrative that hits the target demographic perfectly and you get the surefire ingredients that solidify a song as a smash hit!
