Northern California native Nicole Marden got a bit of a late start to her music career when compared to other aspiring artists on the country music scene.  While tales of young singer-songwriters beginning their musical journey as young children, Nicole was an adult when she began her revamped life consisting of endless hours of voice, guitar, music theory, and everything in between.  She truly emersed herself in the professional music lifestyle, and within a few short years, she has found her niche and is sharing her God-given talents and the results of hard work and perseverance.  The latest example is her new single, “Hand Me Down”, available on all streaming platforms now.

The tune is a tale of hope, inspiration and love – and can be attributed and also applied to many facets of life through which we have all endured at some point in our lives.  It is about accepting someone for who they are, as a whole, including their strengths and also their flaws.  No one is perfect; we all have issues, good and bad, and this song is about non-judgmental acceptance and unbiased affection.

Yeah I’m not looking back, I’ll be your next chapter

The hole in your heart, just needs a little patchin’

So when you wanna give yourself a little distraction

Hand me down your hell baby

And I’ll be the angel you need

Nicole is a naturally gifted songwriter, but her musical education has polished those talents, putting her on the fast track to success.  Her ability to tell a story through her music, her vocals, and her delivery are undeniable on this track, and her goal of inspiring others on their respective paths is achieved in these three-plus minutes of music.

Marden made her first official appearance on the music scene in 2018 with the release of her self-titled EP.  The music collection was primarily centered around her experiences with heartbreak, resonating with fans of all disciplines across the country music spectrum.  “Hand Me Down” follows “Obsession, a carefree flirtatious number perfect for summer, showing her musical versality…something we will continue to look for from this talented singer-songwriter in the future.
