Back in June, Colorado native Cody Cozz delivered his inspirationally motivating debut single “On My Way” via Craig Campbell’s Grindstone Records, and with it, he quickly turned heads with its modern melody that perfectly encapsulated his smooth vocals, allowing him to immediately stamp down his signatures as his voice perfectly delivered the punch of necessary emotions to uphold the well-written lyrics.

With the anticipation for his upcoming EP now at all-time high, he continues teasing fans of things still to come with the release of his brand-new single “Right On Time.”

The song, produced by Craig Campbell and Bart Busch, and written by Jackie Lee and Justin Wilson, has garnered thousands of positive marks on TikTok from his ever-growing fan base, already showing that it’s resonating with his fans and clearly making it a very wise pick for his next release as he rides the momentum that he’s already grabbed hold of.

The softer melody through the verses allows Cozz’s voice to carry the impact of the heartfelt lyrics as he praises his better half and speaks of how she fits into his life so perfectly.

He offers us several looks at who he is as a dreamer chasing sunsets and the guy that doesn’t always want to be at home, but with very cleverly written comparatives that are built into the lines that speak on each of these character traits of himself, he more importantly highlights her and how much she unbelievably complements him.

The chorus then lifts its instrumentation to blend into Cody’s power vocal to punch home the depth of what having her come into his life at the right time has meant for him, and how it’s completely changed his path for the better:

“Like a rain from the sky fallin' down in a place so dry

Girl, you bring me back to life

Like the hand that you know won’t let go when you when you need it most

Reaches out to hold on tight

You’re always right on time.”

Though songs like this are common in country music, when they’re delivered straight from the heart their believability factor turns up a notch and entices the listener as it pulls their own emotions out from within as they listen. That’s exactly what Cody Cozz has done with “Right On Time,” providing us with a heartfelt song that’s not only a perfect choice for a first dance at a wedding, but one that also gives us another very strong outing that will no doubt continue to create substantial buzz ahead of his forthcoming project.
