2022 has seen Carolyn Miller really breaking out as one to watch as she’s continually teased us with new songs that have all worked together to put on a display into who she is as an all-around artist/songwriter while skillfully highlighting her signature attributes; an addictive pop country flare, incredible vocals, and relatable lyrics that instantly pull the listener in.

Giving us entirely different vibes over her last two song releases, she’s shown us a more playful and edgy aspect of her arsenal on the up-tempo drive of “Well Enough Alone,” while assuming a completely vulnerable side for the heart-tugging, broken-hearted “Why Do I.”

Her newest release “Keep On Keepin’ On,” her fourth and final of 2022, acts as an honest, open letter that speaks directly to all the guys out there as she transparently shares what a woman needs most from you when they find themselves starting to fall – so grab your pen and paper and start taking notes!

Written by Janelle Arthur, Sean Cook, and Nicole Croteau, the slow, pop laden groove that’s built into the backing instrumentation presents an immediate clap along beat as Miller wraps the power of her incredibly gifted voice around the lyrics, which praises the guy in her life as she paints him as being a person of his word, someone who isn’t toying with her mind, etc.

However, it’s her obvious broken-hearted past that’s tucked underneath all that praising that truly elevates the song as it’s those yesterday hurts that have built the wall around her that he’s now tearing down brick by brick as she continuously challenges him to keep making her smile, make her heart beat faster, and to “keep on keepin’ on” with being just himself and who he is because she’s falling for him.

As she places all the right tilt of emotions into each line of the lyrics, Carolyn Miller masterfully showcases that even though hurts and pains might have occurred in your past, you can’t let them cheat you out of allowing yourself to fall when the good guy does show up; albeit you may move a little slower as you navigate the terrain of the positive, new feelings you’re experiencing.

The Women of Country’s ‘Carolyn Miller & Friends’ live shows, which have been running every month in Nashville since CMA Fest, have not only been highlighting the incredible female talent in town, but have continued to substantially grow while placing a shining bright spotlight on Carolyn Miller; a spotlight that she’s stood confidently in with each song she’s released while boldly stamping down her place on the list of artists who have arrived.
