There is no stopping country music superstar Morgan Wallen.  From controversy to record-breaking streams and concert sellouts, the reigning ACM Album Of The Year award and iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Album of the Year award winner will undoubtedly continue his dominance across the charts with the release of “Thought You Should Know”.

Co-written by Wallen along with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, this tune is a letter to Morgan’s mother, a ballad and a heartfelt tribute that encompasses the common thoughts and feelings we all experience when being away from home.  Whether it’s an hour away or across the country, and whether it is for a week or a year, the emotions drawn from being on your own and experiencing the ups and downs of life and not being able to share those moments with the ones you love on a daily basis are lyrically and musically detailed in yet another incredibly impressive offering by the country music superstar.

“Yeah, I’m still proud of where I came from

Still your only damn son

Can you believe I’m on the radio?

Just thought you should know”

It is worth noting that this song serves as a deviation from the recent trend of break-up centered releases in the singer’s ever-growing successful music catalogue.  The lyrics will touch a lot of hearts and minds without question, and Morgan’s ability to convey the effective mood of the song through his delivery is something that was once surprising but is not expected from every song he releases.  To this point, he has yet to disappoint with the emotional response he can garner, which is evident by the response via streams and downloads, as well as sellout concert sales.

Morgan dominated 2022 during his run on his nationwide “The Dangerous Tour”, and he has hinted at a full release project slated for an as-of-yet announced date in 2023.
