Queensland, Australia duo Route 33 have released their latest single, “Right Girl Wrong Time”, available everywhere on December 9th via RTC Records.

Consisting of members Jock Barnes and Trent McArdle, the duo has made a name for themselves by intertwining elements of country, pop, and rock to truly develop a sound all their own.  That trend continues with “Right Girl Wrong Time”, a catchy, sing-along account about how sometimes life and love don’t always coincide.  Contrary to what we all want to believe, life isn’t always a fairy tale, and our relationships don’t always work out to how we think they should.

Life sometimes gets in the way of love, and loves sometimes gets in the way of life.  And while for some, things perfectly align, that doesn’t happen for everyone.  This song explores the emotions and feelings of when things don’t always work out the way we think we want them to, and how the timing of decisions, interactions and crossing of paths all influence our relationship outcomes.

Written by the duo and produced by Sony Studios’ Matt Copley in Sydney, the song incorporates the elements of their musical influences, offering a modern take, musically and lyrically, on one of the more common themes in the genre.

The song is well produced and the vocals are delivered flawlessly and seemingly effortlessly.  It’s a catchy track that will have the listener’s toes tapping through the first verse and chorus.

Having met over a decade ago, the duo has honed their craft as singers, songwriters, and performers.  They’re an ARIA #1 Australian Country charting artist and have earned the reputation as one of the more must-see live acts.  This fast-rising duo is one to keep an eye on as they continue to propel themselves as one of the more promising and notable up-and-coming outfits on the circuit.
