Relationships are complicated rollercoasters, and are often difficult for many of us to understand.  The highs and lows and in-betweens are emotionally taxing, and those feelings take precedent in “Motel on the Moon”, the latest release from rising country singer-songwriter Tenille Arts.

Having co-written the track along with Patricia Conroy and Dave Thompson, Arts continues to raise notoriety for herself as one of the more gifted singer-songwriters on the rising country circuit.  Having developed that reputation with previous singles “Somebody Like You” and “Back There, Right Now”, among others, she continues that trend with her latest offering.

The lyrics are intuitive and illustriously descriptive, while the music accompaniment keeps pace, articulately capturing the soul and vibe of the song’s subject matter.  This is a powerful, emotionally-driven song, invoking the emotion and vigor that is to be expected with a story this vulnerable.

“I heard you when you said you wanted space

Can’t live here anymore, gotta find my own place

Take the world, boy, you can have it

I’ll kiss it goodbye

Build a rocket, put me on it

And shoot it straight to the sky

“Motel on the Moon” follows Arts’ Dreamcatcher Entertainment debut single, “Jealous Of Myself”, a story of a lost love, released earlier this fall.

It has been an incredible year for the Canadian songstress, who was included on Billboard’s list of potential nominees for the Best New Artist Award at the 2023 Grammy Awards.  Fans have one last chance to see her live in 2022 on December 31, when she will play the Dakota Dunes Casino in her native Canada.
