CAROLINE JONES
& ALYSSA BONAGURA
"Keep It Safe"
Empire Nashville
Ridiculously talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Caroline Jones has released her new single, “Keep It Safe”, featuring Alyssa Bonagura. The tune, courtesy of Empire Nashville, is available everywhere now.
Co-written by Caroline and Alyssa after a series of girl-talk sessions about life and love, “Keep It Safe” will find itself in the hearts and minds of nearly every listener, touching on that special feeling we have all felt at the beginning of a new relationship. The whimsical, euphoric stage of a new love is unlike anything else, and this song captures those feelings and emotions through the down-to-earth, relatable lyrics. The melodies and harmonies are beautiful and seemingly effortless for these two, with the vocal comradery shining through the line of each verse and chorus.
“It’s not if but when he says
Those three words I know we feel
It’s not if but when we’re ready
To tell the whole world that it’s real
Ooh, but for now it’s just ours
Could be written in the stars”
Musically, as expected, this tune is spot on. The songwriting and instrumental talent of both ladies is undeniable and is on full display here. Intertwining elements of country and pop, while infusing some 90’s retro throughout showcase this track as an outsider, something that was not lost on Caroline during the process.
“This song is very 90’s and harkens back to The Corrs, SheDaisy, Shania and even The Bangles!”, she shared.
“Keep It Safe” will be included on Jones’ forthcoming third studio album, which will follow her 2021 release, ‘Antipodes’. It debuted at #4 on the iTunes Country chart upon its release, featuring the Top 30 hit “Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable)”.
In addition to her solo work, Caroline officially became a full-time band member for the multi-platinum Zac Brown Band. The Grammy Award-winning band will play shows overseas in the spring before embarking on a summer tour of the United States. Fans can catch Jones with ZBB as well as solo dates throughout the year.
