Country music superstar and acclaimed singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett is known for his uncanny ability to pen upbeat party anthems and follow them up with some of the more sentimental lyrical odes in the industry.

“Angels”, released via Valory Music Co., is another lyrically-brilliant profession of love and appreciation for that special someone.  Written by Rhett along with Jaten Collin Dimsdale, Josh Thompson, and Julian Bunetta, the tune finds Thomas in his comfort zone, crooning clever lyrics alongside an acoustic guitar, constantly and consistently finding new angles to profess his love for another.

“You shoulda slammed the door, changed the lock and said, adios

To my selfish heart, tore it apart and left me alone

Don’t know why you were patient and wasted good savin’ on me

Maybe angels don’t always have wings”

As the years have progressed, Rhett has rightfully achieved superstardom as a country music artist and performer, churning out hit songs that are commonly blasted through the speakers in our cars, at parties, and late-night rendezvous.  With all of this success, it can be easy to forget how this man’s career got started.  Thomas Rhett is a brilliant and gifted songwriter.  His ability to put thoughts, feelings, and emotions from his mind to a piece of paper, and then to a guitar and into our ears is unprecedented.

“Angels” follows “Half Of Me”, the highly successful upbeat single with Riley Green.  The tune is off his latest album, Where We Started, which has garnered extensive acclaim and praise by fans, critics, and media alike.

Over the past few years, Rhett has become known for having one of the best and most successful tours of the year.  And now in 2023, it looks as though he’s going to continue that trend, embarking on a monster “Home Team” Tour.  The trek, featuring special guests Cole Swindell and Nate Smith, will kick off in February, hitting spots in Canada and overseas for landing for an extensive run across the United States into the fall.
