One the best elements of country music is its ability to cover a wide range of subjects, moods, and situations.  While some songs are about heartbreak, sadness, and loss, others are about love, friendship, and family.  And sometimes, a song comes along that is just about having a good time.

“Whiskey To Work”, the new single from Chad Bushnell, is a good old fashioned drinking song about a fun night out with friends.  Can we call this a honky-tonkin’ good time?  While that may be a little bit too “yeehaw” of a description, the song will undoubtedly have its listeners hitting the dance floor with their heads bopping and toes tapping.

This is a traditional party anthem drinking song with those modern elements that will appeal to the new age country music fan.  The rough-and-tough country boy vibe takes center stage, infused with humor and charm that turned many fans onto this side of the genre in the first place.

“This song talks about real life, whiskey drinkin’ situations that most people can relate to”, he says.  “Infusing humor into these types of songs is key and the writers hit it right on the head when they wrote this”.

The Northern California native, rancher turned country artist, has a knack for and a history of adding his own Texas-style twang and attitude to subject matter that applies to listeners from all facets of life.  His unique blend of Americana, traditional country, and Christian country influences appeal to a wide spectrum considering the acclaimed responses from fans, critics, and media alike.

Bushnell has made a name for himself as one of the more unique artists in the underground country music scene with past singles including “What Would Jesus Do” as well as his EP ‘Baby I Love You’.  With new music continuing to be released and tour dates booked through the spring and summer, Bushnell is looking to take his career to the next level in 2023.
