The rise to country music notoriety and mainstream acclaim escalated in 2022 for Corey Kent, and with the release of a brand-new single, it is already looking as though he will take his career to the next level in 2023.

The RCA Records Nashville recording artist has released his latest tune, “Man of the House”, which is available everywhere now.  Having been officially released on February 3, the tune was offered as a sneak peek by Corey via a special acoustic performance.  After teasing the track late last year, the fan response was overwhelming, having been viewed over 3 million times and shared over 30,000 times on social media.

The song finds Corey in his comfort zone, strumming his acoustic guitar and singing straight from the heart.  His poetic lyrics are professed through his somber, crooning vocal delivery.  It appears this is a deeply personal song for him, and his ability to put the listener inside his mind as well as tell a descriptive story shines through, one of the most prominent characteristics of a gifted songwriter but also a singer.

“Be strong when you ain’t

And hold on when you can’t

She won’t tell you but, she needs you

And you can’t let her down

So, hide those shakin’ hands

Be a rock when you feel like sand”

Kent first introduced himself to the wide-spread country music mainstream audience with the release of his single, “Wild As Her”, which has tallied over 184 million on-demand streams to date and has been certified RIAA Gold.  The tune also was his first on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 15 on the Hot Country Songs chart and is currently still in the top 20 at Country Radio.

“Hood Of That Car” and “How You Know You Made It” followed as releases, further exposing fans to Corey’s undeniable talent as a singer, songwriter, and performer.

In addition to releasing new music, Corey seems adamant about keeping busy on the road as well in 2023.  He will be supporting Parker McCollum this spring on his headlining tour, with additional dates in the summer and into the fall expected to be announced in the coming months.
