Gardendale, AL native Josh Kinney has developed a sound all his own, and he continues to make waves on the country music community with the release of his latest tune, “Be The One”.

Since receiving an acoustic guitar as a Christmas gift at 14 years old, Kinney has transformed his fandom of music into a passion and further into a profession, honing his talent and hard work into a musical catalogue that is quickly accumulating well-written and highly-regarded songs aplenty.

Musically, “Be The One” has the sound of a late 90’s to early 2000’s release.  From a vocal delivery standpoint, it has the feel of a modern country crooner.  The combination between the traditional and modern elements along with genre-bending influences between country and pop all correlate to a uniquely exquisite release for a singer-songwriter who is quickly making a name for himself amongst fans, industry reps, and media alike.

Bearing resemblance to the likes of Dierks Bentley in terms of stage presence, Kinney has the bravado to look at home on a dusty stage in a honkytonk playing guitar as well as on a headlining stage at an amphitheater in front of thousands.  His music follows that trend, as his ability to write songs that appeal to fans of all genres and all generations within those musical categories is elevating him to the top of the next round of promising singer-songwriters on the country circuit.

Infusing elements of musical influences (from traditional icon George Strait to modern stars Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean), Kinney put himself on the national map after independently releasing his debut music, garnering the attention of Los Angeles-based record label Birmingham Entertainment.  He has done nothing but impress the country music masses since with highly-touted releases including “Never Wanna Leave”, “I Found”, “Barefoot Green Grass”, and “Tangled Up”.

Now, with the release of “Be The One”, Josh continues to prove himself and impress the music community with his intuitive songwriting and well-produced vocal performance.  A prime example of how hard work pays off, the doors continue to open for this incredibly talented singer-songwriter, whose name we will be hearing with every release in the months and years ahead.
