“Caught Me At A Good Time,” “Good Beer Drinkin’,” and “Up For Anything” all placed Landon Parker high on the radar of the country music industry, while his Hits Home EP instantly resonated with fans and its title track landed a spot on SiriusXM’s ‘On The Horizon.’

His most recent release, the 4-song The Acoustic Sessions, Vol 1, satisfied a request from his growing fan base while aptly putting on a pure display of Parker’s raw talent as he wrapped his rich vocal into the acoustic dynamic of the redone songs that we first came to know and love in their full form on his EP.

He now continues to answer his fans request with the release of his most personal song to date, “Your Baby Girl.”

Written for his now father-in-law and wife so that they’d have a song that was uniquely designed for their father-daughter dance at the wedding, a shared clip of it on social media resulted in Landon earning his most viral song to date.

Like the strongest wedding songs from the era just before his, Chuck Wicks’ “Stealing Cinderella,” Heartland’s “I Loved Her First,” and Big & Rich’s “Lost In This Moment,” Landon Parker paints perfect pictures throughout the opening verse as he describes the wedding scene; his best friends and brothers in their tuxes, his misty-eyed mother sitting in the front row, etc..

However, as he leads into the chorus, the dynamic cleverly shifts to focusing on his soon to be wife and her dad, who is walking her down the aisle to give her away.

In what is an incredibly touching letter from soon to be son-in-law straight to the heart of father-in-law, Parker makes a commitment to take care of his daughter while understandingly singing of the big role that her dad still will always play in her life:

“I know you watched her take her first breath, her first steps

When I asked you for her hand you shook mine and you said yes

I want to thank you for bringing an angel into the world

She’s my women, my forever

But she’ll never stop being your baby girl”

Fast-forwarding past the wedding scene itself, and moving over to the reception, Parker takes us inside of nervous his thinking throughout the second verse and bridge when he admits that he’s praying he could be half the man for his new wife that her dad is, while making one more promise to him that he swears that he’ll never let her go.

The Valentine’s Day push of songs last month gave us plenty of top contenders for what could be named the wedding song of the year, but then Landon Parker comes along and easily takes over that top spot with this amazingly well-written song that is surely going to be on the top of so many wedding playlists throughout the year.
