Over the past year, 17-year-old Australian singer/songwriter Lily Grace has made the most of her trips to the states, only making calculated moves that would positively impact each stride she’s made on her career path.

These very smart decisions have now culminated in her fulfilling the next step of her life-long music dream by making the official move to Nashville and embedding herself in the vast music community of Music City.

Launching into this exciting next chapter, Lily Grace kicks of her 2023 by opening her road journal with her anathematic new single, “Follow My Road.”

Co-written by Lily, Chaise Flanders, and Kirsti Manna, the bop along rhythm exudes from your speakers as the guitars drip their ultra-catchy, pop-country kissed styling through the intro and immediately provide the upbeat vibe that perfectly encompasses the uber optimistic lyrics.

Where many people live with an immense fear of the unknown, Lily Grace fully embraces it, allowing the positivity of her vocal to become an encourager as she sings us through a go whichever way the wind blows lyric, hitting on feel-good lines through the verses:

“It’s all about the road less traveled.”

“Grab the keys, let the wheels just take me; can’t wait to see what the world’s got waiting.”

“Radio up, hair in the wind…Sing it out loud.”

However, the two most poignant lines arrive in the chorus and provide an ultra-encouraging strike as she boldly challenges with “I’m gonna follow my road out of my comfort zone,” before grabbing hold of carefree spirit and admitting that, “No matter where it goes, I gonna let it go.”

The insanely catchy drop into the bridge and final chorus provides a clap along moment, as the danceable melody instantly has you envisioning Lily excitedly jumping around her pad in Nashville when she first arrived.

Balancing on the edge of pop and country, but never fully committing to either side of that line while fitting into both, leaves you with an ultra-catchy song that stays stuck in your head long after the final notes are played.

While her previous single “The Two Of Us Meet” provided a great introduction to Lily Grace, the autobiographical “Follow My Road” launches her into next level territory and firmly places her foot on the heartbeat of Nashville with an attitude and swagger that says I have arrived!
