As her latest single “Dirty Blonde” is currently rocketing up the charts in her Australian homeland, pop country darling Zoee has now unleashed her brand-new single, “Pick Me Up.”

The float on the breeze mid-tempo rhythm blasts into modern kissed country stylings, allowing Zoee to perfectly place her flawless vocal atop a melody that’s built on a feel-good summer vibe through each of the verses before punching into the chorus and giving us a pure bop to bounce around with.

Showcasing her elevated songwriting abilities and purely gifted know-how, she paints pictures of the “I don’t care what we do, as long as we do it together” type of night that she’s looking to have with her better half throughout the opening verse; dancing underneath the moon while the fireflies do their thing, having the windows down and the radio up,  etc.

However, she brings this song from good to great when she hits the sing along chorus, flirtatiously enticing her better half to come and pick her up:

“I need a pick me up

Get lost in your touch

I wanna chase that rush

Straight to your heart

You told me that you would

So come and get me good

I need a oh oh ohhh ohhh

I need a pick me up”

By pumping her vocal into its higher register and placing emphasis on end lines throughout the chorus, and then contrasting that with a whisper that she expertly hues into her voice out of the bridge, Zooe adds a sensual overtone to the song and gives the overall feel an interesting flavor and layered dynamic.

The timing for this release is absolutely perfect as we start to roll toward the warmer weather months, and with snapshots of her signature characteristics rolled into one package, she delivers a song that gets stuck in your head and keeps you singing long after its final notes are played.

Having now given us a few different looks at the new music she’s been working on, Zoee clearly has buzz waves crashing all around her, but “Pick Me Up” becomes the crescendo that throws her next exciting chapter wide open and sees her riding that wave into artist to watch territory.
