With a whooping track record of over 260M Global streams and nearly 100M views on YouTube, CCMA Award winning artist Jade Eagelson is certainly no stranger to the country music fan who leans more toward the modern, neo-traditionalist bracket and holds tightly to a 90’s country vibe.

After first teasing his forthcoming project with the very well-received honky-tonker, “Shakin’ In Them Boots,” Eagleson now brings us straight back into the Friday night dancehall where we get our boot heels clicking on the hardwood as we slide across the sawdust on his newest teaser, “Rodeo Queen.”

The song, written by Jade and Daryl Scott, leans deep into the traditional infused style that we’ve come to expect from Jade, while striking rodeo stereotypes to perfectly describe the girl that he’s lusting after who carries a here today, gone tonight attitude within her being; not unlike many of those connected to the rodeo circuit.

“She’s a certified can chasin’ chapped up cutie.”

“She’s a Stetson and a pearl snap shirt wearin beauty.”

“Don’t want a diamond on her finger she wants em on her buckle.”

“She’s got the boots, the hat, the whole dang thing!”

Yearning for her to stay around town a little longer then only when the wind blows her through, and praying that someday she’ll put her roots down with him, Jade firmly grasps the toughness of that tall task when he confesses, “I hit my knees and I pray, someday she'll wanna stay” and “I hit my knees and I pray, she’ll stable up someday,” before sticking hard to that notion through the ultra-descriptive chorus:

“But reignin’ her in’s like ropin’ the wind

She’s here today, and then gone again

She’s a goodbye kiss, then a miss you text

From the next town that she’s riding in

And I hate to see her leave

Cause she’s this cowboy’s dream

Oh what I’d give to be the King to the Rodeo Queen”

Though he’s only started making impact on the Canadian country music scene in 2020 when his debut released, Jade Eagleson has quickly raised through the ranks to become one of the genres most sought-after veterans. With a heaping helping of buzz already surrounding the release of his full-length project this fall (2023), “Rodeo Queen” is another bold stamp as he continues to make his mark as the leader of the charge for the honky-tonk flared traditional country music lovers.
