Arista Nashville’s Megan Moroney is quickly becoming a household name amongst country music fans, routinely releasing catchy, sing-along anthems with her sultry twang and down-to-earth storytelling.  Her latest effort, “Lucky”, is sure to bring smiles to faces everywhere while adding to her reputation as one of the rising young stars in the genre today.

Moroney has been on a rapid ascent up the industry ranks, having been garnered with high acclaim by the likes of Amazon, Pandora, SiriuxXM, Spotify, and CMT over the past year, while her monumental blockbuster release “Tennessee Orange” propelled her to a new level of mainstream notoriety.  The song has accrued over 120 million total global on-demand streams, and was followed recently by “I’m Not Pretty”.

Now, Megan is making more waves in Music City with “Lucky”, a tale of questionable decisions influenced by the likes of a night out on the town.  The lyrics are insatiably relatable while the melody and vibe serves as a toe-tapping delight, perfect for singing along with the windows down.

“’Cause me, my phone, and the neon’s buzzin’

Three, four in and I’m missin’ your lovin’

We said, “Naw, never again”

And we said we’d be better as friends

But come over and don’t overthink it

Tonight’s you’re lucky I’m drinkin’”

But amongst the catchy hooks and singalong lyrics, and certainly not to be overshadowed, is the strong vocal performance once again by this young soon-to-be star.  This girl can sing, and continues to display her musical character as a singer, songwriter, and performer.  Her musical repertoire is elaborately extensive for an artist so early on in her career, with a trajectory that will have her in the spotlight for years to come.

Her debut album, also titled ‘Lucky’, will drop May 5th and promises to be one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year thus far.  She will embark on her PISTOL MADE OF ROSES headlining tour next month and will serve as a special guest on Brooks & Dunn’s tour this summer.  With an album on the horizon and a slew of dates on the road, 2023 is setting up to be a career-changing year for Megan Moroney.
