Grammy-nominated duo Thompson Square has released a brand new tune and is set to impact country radio later this spring.  The husband-and-wife award-winning pair is back with “Without You”, now available on all streaming platforms.

Co-written by Tim Nichols, Anthony Olympia, and Brent Rupard, the romantic catchy new tune is exactly what the country music world needs from one of our favorite and often-times underappreciated duo in the genre.

Over the years, Shawna and Kiefer Thompson have found a way to illustrate the thoughts, feelings and emotions in the hearts and minds of people everywhere into three minutes of country music entertainment.  Whether writing it themselves or finding the song that fits the bill, the pair has always been able to give the fans what they want to hear, and they appear to have done it again with their latest release.

This is a soaring tune with a rhythmic, catchy melody fore fronted by heartfelt lyrics that set the stage for an undeniably beautiful vocal marriage between Shawna and Kiefer.  Their ability to deliver the “us against the world” narrative is something that has set them apart from other couples in the industry over the years, and that musical and emotional cohesive shines through once again on “Without You”.

“Can’t sing a song, that ain’t got no words

A seed’s just a seed till you drop it in the dirt

Church ain’t a church without some people in the pews

And I ain’t no good without you”

After what could be described as a hiatus, Thompson Square returned to country radio in 2022 with the release of “Country In My Soul”.  They catapulted themselves into mainstream stardom with past top 10 hits including “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”, “If I Didn’t Have You”, and “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About”.  But regardless of whether it is a top 10 hit or an uncut tune on an unreleased album, each song this duo records is an honest reflection of where they are as artists and as people.  Their musical mentality and approach have not changed or wavered, making them one of the more respected duo’s out there and one that is increasingly easy to root for with every release.
