Since bursting onto the scene with his debut EP in 2016, Massachusetts native Timmy Brown has skillfully crafted each of his subsequent releases so that they’ve always made a strong impact toward moving him into the next steps of his overall goal.

He’s now ready to make his biggest strikes yet with an uber ambitious release schedule in 2023 that sees him rolling out new songs every month and a half with accompanying visual pieces to boot, starting with “Runaround Town.”

The modern splashed country song hits out the gate with a slick guitar lick to immediately bend your ear as it wraps straight away into the insatiable drum beat driven melody that moves you through the sway along groove.

Lyrically, Brown tugs us through an all too familiar tale of unexpectedly running into your ex at the bar while you’re trying to drink away your memories of you and her, frustratingly hitting through the chorus:

“I don’t wanna see you out and about

The same ol’ girl in my tall boy crowd

Right now, nah girl.. I was just getting over you

I don’t want to see you with someone new

Doing all the things that we used to you

You gave it up so why you getting down

This is ain’t your runaround town”

Sensing that the drinks, as well as her being there, are hitting all his right nerves, he spews out the stark reminder to her in the second verse that this ain’t her bar, while popping a stop and go into the rhythm of the final chorus to elevate the punch of it so that it lands in an anthem like vibe for the broken hearted.

“Runaround Town” follows last fall’s release of “Right About Now,” which also carried a very similar, trying to get over you with a drink in my hand emotion within its lyrics, adding validity to the honesty carried through Brown’s voice which gives each of his past few releases a strong connection factor with the listener through their transparency and ultra-catchy feels.
