Hope and self-discovery are at the forefront of the latest release from Morgan Evans.  The Australian-native has offered his latest single, “On My Own Again”, available now via Warner Music Nashville.

Co-written by Evans along with Zach Kale and Geoff Wharburton, the tune tells the tale of progressing through the emotional stages of a relationship’s ending, from examining what went wrong to pondering life without the love he thought was for forever.  Down-to-earth lyrically and thought-provoking in nature, “On My Own Again” is a story of sadness and heartbreak but also of resiliency and emotional rejuvenation.  It pays tribute to the importance of a relationship, even at its end, while also paying homage to the courage and strength it takes to move on and start over.

After questioning the factors the may or may not have caused the end of his relationship through the first pair of verses, Evans turns the tide in the chorus, looking to turn the page and look towards the future.

“I’m gonna drive until the wheels fall off this old truck in my heart

If forever’s gonna end like that, I guess I’d better start

The rest of my life, like the best times, up around the bend

On my own again”

Evans’ voice is perfectly on point through the track, infectiously captivating the somber vibe while also invigorating the hope that transpires as the song progresses.  Lyrically it reflects the ingenuity and creativity we have come to express from the Australian singer’s releases, and the deeply personal nature of the material makes the listener even more emotionally invested.

“On My Own Again” follows “Over For You”, which was released due to outrageously high demand from fans following a live performance of the song at the CMC Rocks QLD Festival.  Her recently wrapped his co-headlining UK tour with Mitchell Tenpenny, and is joining Brett Young on his nationwide tour this spring.
