A busy 2021 continues for Ashley Cooke, who is back with another stellar tune to add to her catalogue - “Already Drank That Beer”.  Released on June 25th, the song tells the story of a back-and-forth, on-again off-again relationship that is doomed to fail. 

Written by Jessi Alexander, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Wendell Mobley, it is a stark reminder of a time to which we can all relate.  In such a relationship, the good seems to outshine the bad, but throughout the track, Cooke comes to the realization that a higher high only leads to a harder fall:

“That’s the thing about a high…you forget about the crash”

“Already Drank That Beer” follows previous singles “Under” and “Sunday Morning Kinda Saturday Night” via Back Blocks Music.  The songs will be part of her forthcoming project, produced by Jimmy Robbins, due out later this summer.

In addition to her own music, Cooke is also enjoying the success of “Between You & Me”, Roman Alexander’s hit song on which she was featured in April.  Tallying over two million streams in less than three weeks, the song was undoubtedly one of the standout tracks of the spring.
