ADAM WARNER - First Face - ONErpm

Country Rocker Adam Warner has used his past few releases to not only hype what’s still to come in 2024, but to position himself in the middle of a buzz that has seen his name begin circulating on the industry radar.

Following the gritty edge of the wildly successful “Boots in the Bed,” Warner now returns with his fourth single of the year, “First Face.”

The song, lifted from his What We’re Known For album and co-written by Adam, Lewis Brice, Josh Gallagher and Mark Addison Chandler, carries a softly paced waltz within its melody to uncover a layer we haven’t heard from his recent, edgier releases, a pure showcase of his sentimental side and incredible vocal prowess as he enriches his voice with humble appreciation for the woman who came into his life and changed it for the better - his wife Megan, who he dedicates this song to.

Painting the heartfelt emotions that naturally arrive when falling head over heels in love, he embraces the simplest things that have since become the life altering moments when he set out on the unexpected path of allowing his heart to fall.

Reminiscing on when (and how) he knew she was the one, he transparently shares throughout the opening verse that her eyes were the first that ever stopped him on a dime, that he’s been hooked since that first smile, and that her lips were the first that he ever missed after kissing goodnight.

Utilizing the second verse to pinpoint an every morning scenario that always takes his breathe away, he captures the moment of their waking up nose to nose and seeing her for the first time of the day, complete with her bedhead running wild and pillow lines on her cheeks, confessing that if he knew how to freeze time right there…he would!

But it’s the chorus where Warner really solidifies his songwriting talent by simply changing one line with each pass through to skillfully advance the dynamics of their life growing together as the song progresses, moving from them falling in love, to them being married and now waiting impatiently on the birth of their child; providing a very vivid snapshot into where Adam’s life is in the here and now.

When an artist can mirror their songs against what’s happening in their personal life, they add an unmatched honesty that resonates those raw, heartfelt truths in an even grander way with the listeners, allowing them to then connect their individual stories on an entirely different level.

Capturing his love story in this diary like fashion, and then being so transparent with sharing it with his fans, that connection to who he is as a person off stage blends snuggly with who he is on stage through “First Face,” further enhancing the growing buzz that’s now inching his name toward becoming an artist to watch in 2024.
