KAMERON MARLOWE - Tennessee Don't Mind - Columbia Nashville
Columbia Nashville’s Kameron Marlowe continues to add to his ever-impressive music catalogue with this latest single, giving us all a sneak peak into his highly-anticipated forthcoming album. The nostalgic, humbling, and innovatively clever “Tennessee Don’t Mind” is now available everywhere.
In a country music existence that can be difficult to create your own path and offer something unique and unprecedented, this talented singer-songwriter invites the listener into the everlasting relationship he has developed with a way of life. Tennessee, signifying the music industry, is the place he calls home…not just his residence, but his heart, his mind, and his existence all lie in Music City.
“There is a give and take with chasing this dream, and the past two years have been a whirlwind,” Marlowe shared. “There’s a lot of ‘life’ we miss out on being on the road – something no one prepares you for. I feel the most at home on the road and sometimes that’s the crazy part. The music just consumes you and sometimes it’s hard to get out of your own head.”
Brilliantly crafted and magnificently delivered through Kameron’s powerfully intoxicating vocals, “Tennessee Don’t Mind” sings and sways via a mid-tempo track with the integration of modern vibes and fiddle-led runs offering that signature sound we have all come to know and love from the North Carolinian’s music.
“And if I wanna stay awhile
If I get a little bit high
On the night and the whiskey
Underneath the barroom lights
She can always lead me home
Like a star in the Southern sky
And if I’m lost she will take me
Into her arms tonight
Tennessee don’t mind”
Since the release of his ‘We Were Cowboys’ album, Kameron has been unapologetic in his approach to making music, introducing a modern take on his traditional style. Written by Charles Kelley of Lady A along with Daniel Tashian, “Tennessee Don’t Mind” offers a clear-cut representation of who Marlowe is as a recording artist. It’s thought-provoking, story-telling number told across a slick slide of musical dips and valleys, promising to remain with the listener long after the song’s conclusion.
Having hit the road with Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Jordan Davis earlier in the year, Kameron is currently headlining his 13-stop I Can Lie Tour. Following his latest single “I Can Lie (The Truth)” this past summer, as well as the radio hit “Girl On Fire” and fan favorites “Steady Heart” and “Giving You Up”, “Tennessee Don’t Mind” is sure to garner new fans for the fast-rising star as we all anticipate a new project coming soon.
