CHRIS YOUNG - What She Sees In Me - RCA Records Nashville

It’s hard to believe that Chris Young was once a contestant on a steadily-climbing competition show called “Nashville Star”.  Ever since winning season four of the show in 2006, the Murfreesboro, TN native has seen his career transform from singing contestant to aspiring singer-songwriter to country music superstar.

Eight studio albums and eleven No. 1 singles later, the RCA Records Nashville artist is offering fans one final preview of his highly-anticipated new project.  “What She Sees In Me” is available now on all streaming platforms.

Written by Young along with Christian David Stalnecker, Kyle Fishman, Ray Fulcher, and Josh Hoge, “What She Sees In Me” represents another dimension to the celebrated singer-songwriter’s ever-diversifying repertoire.  The perfect epitaph for declaration of a new love to a celebration of a 50th wedding anniversary, this cleverly-crafted tune is a stripped down, bare-your-soul tribute to the love in one’s life.  Young’s trademark vocals are perfectly on point, crooning and swooning his way through the poetic lyrics as he confesses his unrelenting affection and admiration for this forever kind of love.

“Now I get to see how pretty she is when she wakes up

I get to see how perfect she is with no makeup

I can see us twenty years from now on an old porch swing

I still see her in every dream

I can see her faith when it gets tough

I can see her grace when I mess up

I can see how far she is out of my league

But I still can’t see what she sees in me”

This is an unapologetic love ballad from start to finish, an ode to the special person in one’s life whom gives life new meaning, whom makes your world a better place by being a part of it.  It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s vulnerable…everything that a love song should be and more.

“What She Sees In Me” is the latest preview of Young’s upcoming album, ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights,’ set for a March 22 release date.  The 18-track collection also features previously-released selections “Right Now,” “Double Down,” “Looking For You,” and “All Dogs Go To Heaven,” as well as the record’s Top-30-and-rising title track.

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to hear the new music live, as well as Young’s hit sons from the past decade, at one of his many stops across the country on his headlining tour.  Featuring direct support from Bryan Martin, the trek will hit markets from coast to coast from March through August.
