ALAN JACKSON
"You'll Always Be My Baby (Written for Daughters' Wedding)"
EMI Records Nashville
Country music superstar Alan Jackson once again brings tears to our eyes with his song, “You’ll Always Be My Baby”. The track, written for his three daughters, tells the story that every father feels as they begin to struggle with their children transitioning from childhood to womanhood.
“Now you’re a woman on your own
All in love and nearly gone
But you’ll always be my baby
No matter where you are
You’ll always be my baby
Forever in my heart”
As Jackson shares, “I wrote the song for Mattie’s wedding the summer of 2017, but it was so hard to do. I told’em, ‘I wrote this for all of you”, referencing his three daughters – Mattie, Ali, and Dani.
Written by Jackson, the song is off his latest album, ‘Where Have You Gone’, which features 21 songs in all, including 15 penned by the hitmaker himself.
Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 75 million records worldwide, with 44 million sold in the United States. He has had 66 songs appear on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, including 35 number ones. He currently is playing headlining gigs across the country through the fall.
