By popular demand and enthusiastic expectations, Mitchell Tenpenny’s single “Truth About You” is garnering widespread positive reviews by critics and fans alike.

The song reaped an overwhelming 2.5 million TikTok views, thus influencing Tenpenny and his team to officially release the song to radio.

“Truth About You” is the third song Mitchell released in 2021, which he co-wrote along with Matt Alderman and Thomas Archer.

The soulful delivery that has become trademark of Tenpenny’s young career is prevalent on this track.  The song is undoubtedly a story about a relationship gone wrong.

Mitchell admits that, while this song describes autobiographical feelings he has felt in the past, it also represents a collaboration of emotions experienced by friends and the behaviors that followed.
