“Song Still Gets Me” is the brand new release from country music songstress Sarah Darling.  It serves as the second single from her forthcoming EP, which promises to be the next successful chapter in her impressive career thus far.

The song is a warm, smooth country ballad that celebrates those present-day moments that are infused with bittersweet nostalgia for times past.

“Sometimes it’s the radio’s fault

Just flipping through and you come on

I’ll be doing just fine, and then out of the blue

That melody takes me back to you

I tell myself it won’t hurt that much

So I close my eyes and turn it up”

The tune was penned by Darling’s close friend and co-producer, Emily Shackelton, along with Carly Pearce and Gordie Sampson.  It is a perfect match for Sarah, who has developed a distinct, contemporary country sound by collaborating with writers and producers in Nashville, Los Angeles, and the UK.

Darling has released five full-length albums to date, over 20 million streams, 11 million video views, and over 90 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry stage.  “Waves”, “Song Still Gets Me”, and her upcoming new record serve as the next chapter in what has already been a momentous career.

Sarah has been playing a handful of dates scheduled in the UK in late December to round out 2021.  The new EP is scheduled for a spring 2022 release, with anticipated tour dates to follow.
