As a media ambassador for Music Amplifies and their upcoming Amp Up 4 Kids event at The Palace Theatre in Gallatin, TN on Friday November 3, 2023, it’s an absolute honor to be blessed with the opportunity to check in with some of the acts on the bill.

We recently touched base with Makenzie Phipps, who’s brand-new single “You Bring the Beer, I’ll Bring the Noise” releases this fall (Sept 22, 2023), to chat with her about what to expect from her performance at this event, what it means to her to be part of this cause, the impact she hopes the show makes long after its final notes are played, and much more!

1) You’re a part of the upcoming ‘Amp Up 4 Kids’ event hosted by the incredible organization Music Amplifies on Friday November 3, 2023 at The Palace Theatre in Gallatin, TN. What can people expect from your performance on this night?

I am beyond excited to be a part of this event performing some of my newly written material. My music definitely has an overall country sound with some soulful elements. I feel there will be a song that everyone will enjoy, and I can't wait to share them with everyone!

2) What does it mean to you to be part of Music Amplifies and their current mission of delivering Christmas to kids who might not otherwise have one?

It means the world to me to be at this event as I have done previous Christmas events in the past to help kids have a special Christmas. I feel every child deserves to have a happy holiday and I'm glad to be a part of that experience.

3) One of the things that we personally love about the vision of Music Amplifies is how they want to expand to not only continue to benefit children, but to also work with Veterans and aged programs as well. Do you have any personal connection to those aspects of their vision from your own life?

Coming from a family that cares deeply for our Veterans, I think this idea would be amazing! I have performed for multiple charity events to help Veterans and the elderly in my community, so this subject touches home in many ways. 

4) Looking inward for just one question, which other performer are you excited to get to see that’s on the bill for this incredible night? And what songs do you hope to hear from them?

I am looking forward to seeing Mr. John Berry perform. I have met him a few times at other events, and I hope to hear him perform his song "Your Love Amazes Me"! He has had an amazing career and is definitely an artist I look up to.

5) One last question! When the final note of this night is played, what impact do you hope that you and your performance will have in moving the hearts of the crowd to encourage them to continue supporting the mission of Music Amplifies throughout the year?

I hope to impact them with the power of music and how giving it can be. Music touches people in so many different ways. I hope for this one night that my music will touch their hearts and shine some love as well as positivity so they can find it within them to give back!
